Hurt in Florida?
They Owe You.
From Miami's I-95 corridor to Orlando's tourist economy to Tampa's I-275 to Jacksonville's downtown — Florida is a no-fault auto state with a 2-year personal injury filing deadline, modified-comparative-negligence with a 51% bar, and the country's 3rd-largest population. Madison Law Firm PLLC coordinates with FL-licensed co-counsel under written disclosure.
How Florida Law Works.
The four things that change when your injury case is in Florida.
filing deadline
Most Texas personal injury cases (car accidents, slip and fall, product liability, medical malpractice) must be filed within 2 years of the accident date under Tex. Civ. Prac. & Rem. Code Missing this deadline is absolute — failure to file within 2 years bars the case permanently.
Time matters
Don't wait. Evidence gets lost fast — security camera footage often disappears within days. There's also a deadline to file. The sooner you call, the more we can do.
Sovereign Immunity & Notice
Claims against Florida state or municipal entities require pre-suit notice under Fla. Stat. — 3 years to present the claim to the agency (and the Department of Financial Services for state claims), 4 years to file suit if denied. Damage caps apply ($200K/$300K per claimant/incident). Medical malpractice has separate pre-suit notice and filing deadline with discovery exceptions.
Florida Co-Counsel Coordination
Madison Law Firm PLLC is licensed in the State of New York. Florida personal injury matters are handled in association with FL-licensed attorneys under written co-counsel arrangements (Fla. Bar Rule 4-1.5(g) requires written client consent for fee division). Single intake, full file management, no client friction.
